Lennart Landberg, son of Nils Landberg, owned and worked at the hardware store when Midvinterduell was recorded in 1982. Lennart and Lars Molin where friend and Lars was a frequent visitor at the store. So when searching for a hardware store for his film, the choice of film location was given. Lennart reveals that he was very disappointed over not being offered to play the role as the hardware manager. Recording was done on a Thursday, the day the football tips was submitted. One of the regular customers stepped right into the recording, and was stopped and had to go through the back door to hand in his coupon.  

In the film, Ingvar Hirdwall who played the farmer, was then on his way to the hardware store to buy concrete to ensure that this time would the milk table would not be possible to run down.

Lennart Landberg also had a hardware store in Öregrund at the time, and he believes that Lars also used that store in his other films.
